Call Forwarding

Using this service you can divert incoming calls and send them to for example your mobile phone, landline or voicemail. The redirection rules are contingent on the line status, i.e. your VoIP device availability. There are three different states: busy, no answer, offline.

No answer event is fired when incoming call has not been answered for predefined time (the time can be changed from its default value in the “Virtual numbers” menu in the Portal). “Offline” is when your VoIP device is not registered (for example when unplugged from network). “Busy” is when you are already in a conversation.

For each of the states different destinations can be assigned, for example:
  • When Busy make all incoming calls go to your voicemail.
  • When No Answer forward calls to your mobile phone.
  • When Offline, for example when travelling abroad, forward incoming calls to prepaid mobile number from given country.
In addition, forwarding rules can be defined in a cascade, for example when your mobile to which calls are forwarded is busy or unreachable the system can try another number defined with lower priority. For that use “priority” field in the “Call forwarding” menu in the Portal (notice: 0 denotes the highest priority).

Call Forwarding
Call forwarding can be used with internal numbers and with virtual PSTN numbers (DIDs) as well. For each number different rules can be defined.

To configure the Call Forwarding follow these steps:
  1. Log in to the Portal, click on Call forwarding menu.
  2. Click on “Add new” button.
  3. Select the line status on which the forwarding should be triggered, you can select multiple options.
  4. Enter destination phone number or select Voicemail checkbox.
  5. Select the line number to which the forwarding rule will apply (only if you have more than one phone numbers associated with the account).
  6. Click on “save” icon in the last column.
